LIFECARE Foundation Cochin ( Activities 2017-18)

Statistics reveals that there are more than 5000 children in Kerala alone, who are facing serious neurological issues like Cerebral Palsy, Nerve Palsy, Autism etc. Most of them are from a very poor financial back ground, for whom it is difficult to manage the treatment costs. These diseases need longer Hospital stays, regular training sessions and complete dedication of the parents. But in most cases even financially sound family finds it difficult to cope with hospitals stays and treatment procedures for such a long period. Either of the parents has to give a fulltime support to the child during the treatment period. So in majority of the cases the parents are forced to discontinue the healing session in between since they are incompetent to handle the heavy treatment charges. At LifeCare Center we are bound to treat such children with 100% dedication and sincerity so that they can also have a life just as we all have. These children are treated at LifeCare Center to face life and their challenges in an unique way which is researched and developed for them by our experts.   LIFECARE Center has an 18 years experience Neuro Rehabilitation Team, which includes a team of Physiotherapists, Speech and Occupational Therapist and Special Trainers mentored and lead by Dr.Biju Ravindran. LifeCare Foundation was evolved from the fact that many a patients has to quit treatment since they might be deprived of resources at some point of treatment. We are on wheels to take care of such children and treat them to the extent that they are completely cured and make them prepared to face the life with positive attitude. Due course of the treatment we equip them to lead an independent life through Occupational Therapy.

LIFECARE CENTER charges nothing from the patient. We are providing free medicines, special trainings, hospital stay and even food. The financial support covers free Hospital Stay for both the patient and parents, free Neurology and PMR Consultation, free Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy.  And we also extend our support for patients who need expensive medical procedures like surgery. Life Care Foundation is presenting a 100% transparent and free treatment covering the entire medical aspects of a patient.  LifeCare Foundation is a single entity that is working as a charitable organization for treating children with neurological disorders in India. We wish to develop it to a one of a kind charitable organization with all advanced treatment facilities.

Currently we are running it within very limited resources. The Foundation is located at Thammanam Road, Palarivattom. It’s been operating in a 5000 SqFt area with 13 private rooms. We are planning to change it to a more kids friendly and secure way. Currently LifeCare is equipped with basic Physiotherapy equipments. For faster and better results incorporation of advanced machineries are inevitable. Availing advanced Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy equipments will be introducing tremendous results in the treatment. Another area we are planning to develop is a kids play area.
